Just gather the three and contribute to the latest viral social media craze all for a good cause.
With tens and hundreds and thousands of social media users, the internet is perhaps the fastest way to pioneer and spread advocacy campaigns. You’ve heard about the Ice Bucket Challenge that spread like wildfire creating awareness around the world about the ALS. Locally and more recently, celebrities and regular folks alike posted their no-filter, no-makeup selfies to support the #ProudToBeMe anti-bullying campaign spearheaded by one of the country’s most influential names in the industry. Taking the challenge up a notch, women and men around the world are taking pictures and videos of themselves holding up a Coke can between their breasts. You read that right, a Coke can between breasts.
Starting out as a joke, Gemma Jaxx posted a video of herself holding a can of Coke between her breasts. Danny Frost of Elite Talent Referrals, an adult entertainment talent-scouting agency, contacted her recommending adding the hashtag, #HoldACokeWithYourBoobsChallenge. He shared Gemma’s video on his page and from there, it turned into a full-on viral campaign.
The challenge is simply done by posting one’s video clutching the canned soft drink between the breasts and using the hashtag #HoldACokeWithYourBoobsChallenge. Although the challenge is created to urge women to regularly check their tatas for any irregularities and to have undergo regular medical check-ups, men are also surprisingly up for contributing to the cause. There are also videos of men who creatively made ways of holding the can between their man boobs to help out in raising breast cancer awareness. After all, women are not the only ones vulnerable to the disease.
Big boobs, flat boobs, fake boobs, man boobs and what-have-you, it really doesn’t matter. The challenge may not be all just for breast cancer awareness. It could also be the way for you to appreciate your breasts while taking on a greater cause. So go get that can and post a boobfie! (Screengrab via YouTube)
